A Daily Herald analysis showed total crashes stayed the same or increased at 14.5 percent of suburban intersections after red-light cameras were installed. But the story was different for accidents with injuries, which increased at 48.8 percent of intersections after cameras were put up. Data show the average number of crashes with injuries per year before and after camera installation.
